Seeking God
God desires to have a relationship with everyone. The goal of this study is to show us the heart we must have if we are going to find God.
Acts 17:22-31
God made every person and gave us each the same purpose of finding Him. He has worked in every detail of our lives to bring us to this moment where we can look and find Him. What are some reasons people don’t find God? What is the reason God no longer accepts ignorance?
Jeremiah 29:11-13
God has given us some great promises. What part must we play in finding God? We will find God when we seek Him with all our hearts. What does it mean to seek God with all your heart?
Matthew 6:25-34
Worrying can distract us from finding God. What kinds of things do you worry about? How could those things distract you from seeking God? What does it mean to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness? Are you willing to do that?
Matthew 7:7-11
Persistence is necessary in finding God. What does it take to find God according to these scriptures? How is God described?
Matthew 7:13-14
There are two paths. Why do you think the past that leads to destruction is wider and more populated than the path that leads to life? Why will only a few find the narrow path? Only a few are truly seeking God.
Will you seek God with all your heart? What will help you in your search? Begin reading the book of John in order to grow in your understanding of Jesus, and bring any questions to our next study. When do you want to meet again?
